Cyberspace is the student-led event in Camberwell College of Arts where students have to develop simulated or interacted outcomes that follows the theme of Cyberspace. I carry out in wanting to pursue experimental filming by curating my outcome to be projected within the show in Camberwell College.
The brief was very open to different creative approaches, and so for my concept, I decided to focus on relations with digital and physical networks, and I thought of filming trees in Foot Cray Meadows because I found it appropriate to contrast the use of technology and nature by providing a solution that tries to reprehend the visual network using the physical environments of the forest.
I tested it with the college's projector and found it to be suited for aiming it at the ceiling and the best thing with avoiding making noise from a video that can distract other student's work. I provide my Bluetooth headphones to be used where people can wear them and engage with what's happening on the ceiling.
I appreciated the remarks and feedback I received that people said the projection could appear as the portal to the other dimension and that when you put on headphones your whole environment changes because the event is full of people talking and interacting with student works.
I am looking forward to focusing more on motion design and as well for sound design but even those for this outcome being reliance on After Effects, I do want to explore different creative approaches to recording and editing video.
